Artist's Notes
Above is the original work consisting of hand printed binary numbers which have the appearance of being woven. This can be related to the web and to the constant chatter of technology that never ceases in a modern world: if we could listen into the world’s communications from outer space, all we would hear is constant chatter. These communications are silent and move through the air, but if you could hear them the noise would be deafening. The world is never truly silent, it never sleeps, communications are 24/7.
The woven binary numbers were digitally replicated onto Perspex and then solvent welded to form a cube.
